Associate Producer of Documentaries




Ms. Lee has served as Associate Producer of Documentaries at Tamirfilms since April 2011. Ms. Lee joined the Company in September 2010 as Head of Production Operations. With a MFA from NYU TSOA her New York acting credits include Woodie King Jr.’s New Federal Theatre where she won an Audelco Award for her performance in August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone; as Mattie; Target Margin’s production of DuBois Heyward’s Mamba’s Daughters which received an Obie Award for Best Revised Play, and District Attorney Robinson in the critically acclaimed, The Coyote Bleeds with The Tribeca Theatre. Regional theatre credits include Milwaukee Rep, Missouri Rep, Theatre Virginia and The People’s Light and Theatre Company in Malvern, Pennsylvania where she was a resident company member. . In Los Angeles where Ms. Lee presently resides she has been in company as an actor (Transitions) and a member of the playwright’s lab with The Robey Theatre, and The Actor’s Studio. She performed in Josephina Lopez’s When Nature Calls at CASA0101 in East Los Angeles, and in Uncommon Threads which won a best new play award at The Secret Rose Theatre in North Hollywood. TV credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Cold Case, Drake and Josh, Law and Order, Judging Amy, and Ed.. Ms. Lee is a child activist, and a member of the Association of Black Documentarians West, and presently works with The Unusual Suspects Theatre Company which has demonstrated success with youth segments including children in foster care, gang members, and those incarcerated in juvenile detention camps.
